New Delhi : The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is participating in the 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2024, being held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, to showcase its achievements in disaster risk reduction and to raise public awareness about its plans, policies, and disaster preparedness efforts.

The NDMA exhibition booth was inaugurated today by Shri Rajendra Singh, Head of Department and Member of NDMA, along with Lt. Gen. Syed Ata Hasnain (Retd.), Member of NDMA, and Shri Krishna S. Vatsa, Member of NDMA. Senior officials and staff members from NDMA were also present at the inaugural session.
The stall emphasizes the Prime Minister’s vision for disaster management, featuring 10 thematic panels that outline a 10-point agenda for disaster risk reduction as proposed by the Hon’ble Prime Minister.
This year, NDMA’s stall at the mega fair offers a variety of interactive activities for all age groups, particularly aimed at school students and children. Activities include a virtual reality experience on disaster management, 3D effect screens, anchor-moderated quizzes, and games, alongside the presentation of recently launched guidelines and standard operating procedures (SoPs) on disaster preparedness.
Additionally, NDMA has brought along the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team to showcase its technologies, equipment, and other products utilized in disaster emergencies. Visitors are welcome to explore NDMA’s stall at Hall No. 5 (1st floor), located next to the Kids Zone, from now until November 27, 2024.
