Discusses Constituency Issues, Particularly the Amurat 2.0 Water Scheme
The Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Sopore Constituency, Irshad Rasool Kar, met with the Honorable Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology and Environment, and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, to discuss several important issues concerning the constituency, with a special focus on the Amurat 2.0 water supply scheme.
During the meeting, MLA Kar provided a detailed briefing to the minister regarding various constituency issues, including the lack of response from contractors regarding the Amurat 2.0 tender, the need for priority approval of ₹45 crore for the Zaingeer canal under NABARD, and the requirement for special assistance in funding check dams in ChakrodyKhan, Jeedad Bhagat, Green Town, and areas surrounding the Sopore bypass.
MLA Kar also discussed the necessity for more water tankers for Sopore to ensure that residents do not encounter any issues, especially concerning basic facilities.
He also urged the minister to prioritize Sopore, ensuring that the area does not fall behind in terms of development and that residents receive all essential services.
