Srinagar, Dec 26: Police in Kupwara on Thursday organized ‘Thana Diwas’ function at Police Post Drugmulla. The event was chaired by DySP headquarters, Kupwara Rafee Rather and SI Bilal Rashid, I/C PP Drugmulla, Kupwara.
The meeting was attended by respectable citizens, civil societies of concerned areas, including members of Auqaf Committees, Numberdars, Chowkidars, Traders Federation and Transporters etc.
On these occasions, participants highlighted various issues of public importance. During these events, all the grievances were heard and were segregated on the basis of area of action and jurisdiction.
The attendees were assured by the that all the grievances pertaining to Police department will be dealt as per the law and remaining grievances lying outside the domain of Police department will be taken up with the concerned authorities under laid down procedure.
During meeting, the cooperation of general public in eradication of drug abuse, social crimes etc were sought. Participants were stressed upon to co-operate with Police in curbing the drug menace and in identifying anti-social elements who always try to disrupt the peaceful environment.
