Syed Abid Rasheed Shah re-designated as Secretary, H&ME Department

SRINAGAR : In a significant move, the General Administration Department (GAD), Government of Jammu and Kashmir re-designated Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah as Secretary to the Government, Health & Medical Education (H&ME) Department.

The move comes two days after Sarmad Hafeez and Mohammad Aijaz were re-designated key roles in the J&K Administration.

According to an official communique, “Consequent upon promotion of Dr. Syed Abid Rashid Shah, IAS (AGMUT:2012) to the Selection Grade (Level-13 in the Pay Matrix), vide Order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, under endorsement No. 14016/24/2024.UTS-1 dated 01.01.2025, the officer is hereby designated as Secretary to the Government, Health & Medical Education Department w.e.f. 01.01.2025 l.e. date from which he assumed the charge of the post.”
