Reservation for OSC Increased by Commission, Not BJP: Ashok Koul

Date:

Jammu, Jan 16 : BJP State General Secretary (Org.) for Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh on Thursday said Reservation for OSC Increased by Commission, Not BJP.

He stated that the OSC category previously had a 2% reservation, which was increased to 4% by the government. However, the recent decision to raise it to 8% was made by the commission, not the Indian People’s Party (BJP).

“The commission gave them 8% reservation. The Indian People’s Party did not give 8% reservation. It is not possible,” he stated.

His statement aims to clear any misconceptions regarding BJP’s role in the decision, asserting that the reservation increase was implemented by the commission independently.
