Deputations call on Dy CM; raises issues seeking speedy redressal
JAMMU: Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Kumar Choudhary, who is also the Minister for Industries and Commerce (I&C), will now head the six Boards and Corporations, which were re-constituted, here on Monday, as reported by KDC.
The order read, Choudhary will head the various Boards and Corporations including Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation, Khadi and Village Industries Board, Jammu and Kashmir Cements Limited, Jammu and Kashmir Industries Limited, Jammu and Kashmir Small-Scale Industries Development Corporation Limited and Jammu and Kashmir State Industrial Development Corporation.
All of these Boards and Corporations were reconstituted under the Industries and Commerce Minister, who has been appointed as the Chairman, while other senior officers were appointed as the Directors.
Pertinent to mention, earlier, Dr Hina Shafi Bhat was the Chairperson of Khadi Village and Industries Board, which will be now headed by the Minister for Industries and Commerce.
