CMO Rajouri Honoured for Exemplary Efforts in Managing Badhal Incident

Rajouri, January 26: On the occasion of Republic Day, Dr. M.L. Rana, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Rajouri, was honored by District Development Council Chairman Adv. Naseem Liaqat for his exceptional leadership and tireless efforts in managing the recent health emergency in Badhal, Block Kandi.

The felicitation ceremony, held in the presence of MLA Rajouri Sh. Iftikhar Ahmed, MLA Thanamandi-Darhal Adv. Muzaffar Khan, DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range Sh.Tajinder Singh IPS Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Sh. Abhishekh Sharma, SSP Rajouri Sh.Gourav Shikarwar IPS, ADDC Rajouri Dr.Raj Kumar Thapa , ADC Rajouri Sh.Rajeev Khajuria , and other dignitaries, highlighted the critical role played by Dr. Rana and the Health Department in containing the crisis.

Dr. Rana received this recognition for his extraordinary efforts in managing and controlling the recent health emergency in Badhal, Block Kandi, which claimed 17 lives. Under his leadership, the Health Department Rajouri swiftly deployed Rapid Response Teams (RRTs), strengthened CHC Kandi, ensured referrals to GMC Rajouri and Jammu, and conducted extensive surveillance and public awareness campaigns to prevent further escalation.

They lauded Dr. Rana and the entire Health Department for their tireless work in mitigating the crisis, demonstrating exemplary coordination with the civil administration and allied departments.

The event highlighted the invaluable contributions of healthcare workers under the leadership of Dr.Rana in serving the community with dedication and resilience.
