DODA, Jan 27: The Regional Office, Jammu of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), organized the second anniversary of the Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 program at the Conference Hall, DC Office Doda.
The event witnessed the participation of over 200 representatives from District Doda and Kishtwar, including employers, employees, and industry stakeholders.
The program focused on enhancing awareness of EPFO’s social security schemes, addressing grievances, and promoting compliance with the EPF and MP Act.
Key Highlights of the Event: Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I (RPFC-I), Shri Rizwan Uddin, personally addressed grievances of workers and employers, ensuring on-the-spot redressal. En route to Doda, he met with subscribers on the Doda-Thatthri Road, demonstrating EPFO’s commitment to outreach and engagement.

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaborative Efforts: During the program, Shri Rizwan Uddin emphasized the importance of enrolling eligible employees as EPF members. He warned that action would be taken against defaulting establishments failing to comply with the mandatory provisions.
The event received active support from various local entities, including the Chief Education Officer, Doda, Shri Parkash Thapa, and the President of the Private School Association, Doda, who assured their commitment to increasing EPF coverage across schools. Representatives from NHIDCL, private schools, and industries also pledged to ensure compliance with EPF regulations.
Special Guidance and Handholding Support: Ms. Arpana, the owner of New Light Public School, was guided on registering with the Shram Suvidha Portal for obtaining the PF Code. Similarly, contractors of NHIDCL, M/s Boru Construction, and other organizations assured increased member enrollment and awareness campaigns for workers.
The program also addressed grievances related to member profile updates, death cases, and ECR filing. Detailed instructions were provided on UAN activation, which can now be completed seamlessly using Aadhaar-linked mobile numbers.
Promoting Social Security Benefits: The session highlighted key EPFO initiatives, including the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) scheme and the Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme, 1976, which offers insurance coverage up to ₹7 lakhs. These benefits have been extended to employees in Jammu and Kashmir since November 2019.
Looking Ahead: RPFC-I, Rizwan Uddin, called for greater coordination with schools to conduct online sessions for IT professionals, enabling smooth compliance with EPFO regulations. These sessions will focus on electronic challan filing and facilitate efficient processes for employers.
The event concluded with gratitude extended to the participants and stakeholders, including the Deputy Commissioner, Doda, for their support in making the program a success. With its focus on awareness, grievance redressal, and social security promotion, Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 stands as a testament to EPFO’s commitment to its stakeholders in Jammu and Kashmir.
