Srinagar, Feb 15 ; Authorities in north Kashmir’s Gulmarg have introduced a special morning ticketing slot for the Gulmarg Gondola to enhance transparency and curb black marketing of tickets.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that the new system allows tourists to purchase cabin tickets directly from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Main Waiting Hall, ensuring a hassle-free boarding experience.
The official mentioned that this new initiative is expected to streamline ticket distribution and reduce unauthorized sales, which have often caused inconvenience for tourists.
He said that this measure would enhance transparency and ensure that visitors receive fair access to the facility.
Pertinently, the J&K Cable Car Corporation (JKCCC) has implemented several new measures in the past two years to enhance the Gulmarg Gondola experience for both domestic and international tourists.
Last year, to streamline the booking process and address the high demand for Gondola rides, the authorities revamped the online Tatkal Ticket Facility, which is now available on the official JKCCC website, www.jammukashmircablecar.com.
To better accommodate international visitors, the JKCCC has introduced a special booking system for foreign tourists. Travel agencies are required to send the details of foreign tourists—including full names and passport numbers—at least two days prior to their visit to the official email address [email protected], along with a covering letter from the agency.
