Fake Police Transfer Order Circulating on Social Media: Officials

Srinagar, Mar 12, : A news report about the transfer of senior police officers in Jammu and Kashmir has been making rounds on social media for the last two days. However, police sources have clarified that the order being circulated is fake and no such transfers have been officially approved.

According to officials, an alleged order claiming the reshuffling of police officers within the AGMUT cadre has gone viral, leading to speculation and confusion. However, reliable sources within the police department have dismissed the report as baseless, urging people not to fall for misinformation.

“The order in circulation is completely fake. No such transfers have been made,” a senior police official said on condition of anonymity. The official further cautioned against spreading unverified information, emphasizing that only official communication from the Home Department should be considered authentic.

Authorities have urged social media users to refrain from sharing such misleading content.
