Srinagar, Mar 16 : Senior political leader and former MLC Yasir Reshi, along with former PDP leader Peer Mansoor, joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) today at the party headquarters in Srinagar in the presence of PDP President Mehbooba Mufti.
Reshi, who was initially associated with PDP, later joined Sajad Lone’s Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference and later aligned with Engineer Rashid’s Awami Ittehad Party (AIP). In a major political shift, he has now returned to PDP, marking a new turn in his political journey.
Similarly, Peer Mansoor, a close aide of Mehbooba Mufti, had parted ways with PDP earlier but has now rejoined the party.
The event saw Mehbooba Mufti addressing party workers and the media, emphasizing unity and strengthening the party at the grassroots level. (JKNS)
