Jammu — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday detained and lodged a hard-core militant associate under the Public Safety Act (PSA) in Udhampur.
The accused has been identified as Farooq Ahmed, son of Abdul Hamid, resident of Sadrota, Tehsil Lohai Malhar, District Kathua. He was involved in providing logistical support to militant groups and actively worked as a guide and facilitator for militant organizations.
Strong evidence and past records confirm his involvement in aiding and facilitating militant groups. In view of his activities, authorities have detained him under the Public Safety Act. — (KIMS)
