Ganderbal Police Intensify Crackdown on Banned Organizations, Conduct Multiple Raids

Ganderbal, March 27, 2025 – In a continued effort to curb separatist activities, Ganderbal Police conducted extensive searches across multiple locations in the district today. The raids were part of an ongoing investigation into cases related to the banned organizations Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) and Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (Masrat Alam Faction), which were outlawed under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in 2023.

The searches were linked to FIR Nos. 03 and 04 of 2024, registered at Police Station Ganderbal under Sections 10 and 13 of the UAPA. Police teams carried out coordinated raids in Check-Akhal, Kaw-Cheewan, Kangan, Preng, and Sehpora, targeting individuals suspected of having ties with the proscribed groups.
