Srinagar : The schools in Kashmir division and winter zones of Jammu division were closed on Tuesday as the vacation for students from primary to class 8th started from today.
As per the order issued by the school education department, winter vacations from primary to class 8th will start from December 6, 2018, while as for High and Higher Secondary classes winter vacations will start from December 17 to February 23, 2019.
It said the last working day for classes up to class 8th will be December 4 while as last working day for high and higher secondary classes will be December 15.
“The winter vacations for primary to class 8th will end on March 02 2018,” the government order reads.
It further reads that officials associated with the conduct of practical examination, if any shall avail winter vacations only after the conclusion of practical exams.
