Sopore, April 10 (KD) : Deputy Inspector General (DIG) North Kashmir Range, Maqsood-ul-Zaman, stated that police alone can’t fix issues; collective responsibility is essential for a successful society.
Addressing a large gathering of people at the Dak Bungalow Sopore during Thana Divas, DIG-NKR as per Kashmir Despatch emphasized that for a successful society, everyone needs to play their part. While the police are doing their best, but cannot resolve every issue alone.
He assured that no innocent person will be harmed and that every single issue will be redressed. However, he emphasized that people need to follow the system, and for every grievance, they must adhere to the established protocols. He expressed confidence that not a single issue would go unaddressed.
He mentioned that both the Police and other civil departments have grievance cells that will work for the people.
Meanwhile, during the meeting, various issues were raised by the participants, and they were assured that their genuine grievances related to the Police department would be resolved on priority, while those pertaining to civil administration would be taken up with the relevant departments for prompt redressal.
Superintendent of Police Sopore Divya D-IPS, ASP Sopore Mir Murtaza-JKPS and SDPO Sopore Sarfaraz Bashir-JKPS and other senior officers of Sopore Police were present in the meeting. (KD)
