Separatism and Terrorism Have No Future in J&K: LG Sinha

Date:

Suhail Khan

Srinagar, April 19 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha declared on Saturday that separatism and terrorism in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) have no future, urging Pakistan to cease cross-border terrorism amid its internal turmoil.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of a public function in Srinagar, as per Kashmir Despatch, Sinha asserted, “Separatism and terrorism have no place in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan must stop exporting terrorism to this region, especially as it grapples with severe internal crises.”

The Lieutenant Governor accused Pakistan of relentlessly attempting to destabilize peace and normalcy in J&K by infiltrating terrorists across the border. “Pakistan remains fixated on undermining the security of Jammu and Kashmir. However, our security forces, police, and administration are resolutely countering these threats,” he affirmed.

Reiterating India’s resolve, Sinha stated, “Our forces are determined to eliminate terrorism permanently. They will not relent until this goal is achieved.”

Earlier this week, Sinha highlighted Pakistan’s alleged desperation to disrupt J&K’s transformative progress. “Pakistan’s inability to accept the region’s growing stability has driven its continued cross-border terrorism. Its desperation to send terrorists reflects a refusal to acknowledge this new era of peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said, according to Kashmir Despatch.

The Lieutenant Governor reassured citizens that robust mechanisms are in place to thwart hostile designs, emphasizing that J&K is marching toward an era of prosperity and inclusive growth.
