The wounds have not yet healed, and tears still fill our eyes. The horrific scenes from last week’s terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam—which claimed 28 lives—remain fresh in the minds of every Kashmiri.
Following the barbaric and inhuman act in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed an indescribable wave of emotions. Now, every individual in Kashmir has taken to the streets in protest, condemning this atrocity and showing the world that Kashmir stands against terrorism—now and always.
Amid growing concerns about unity in the fight against terrorism and the safety of tourists, a team from Radio Baramulla 89.6 FM launched a powerful initiative. Their message was loud and clear: No matter our religion, no matter our community—we are one, and together, we can bring change.
In a heartfelt display of solidarity, a group of RJs marched through Baramulla’s market, holding banners with a strong declaration: “We Are One.”
Speaking to Kashmir Despatch, Arif Nabi, a radio executive, stated, “We are part of Kashmir; we are its residents, and it is our responsibility to send a loud and clear message to those trying to divide us. For decades, we have lived together in peace, love, and harmony—we will not allow enemies to sow hatred or break our unity.”
He further condemned the Pahalgam massacre, calling it not only shocking but an unbearable tragedy for all Kashmiris. “We still cannot believe our guests were attacked,” he said. *”But as individuals, we can at least show the world that we stand united—today, tomorrow, and always. Together, we will fight against the enemies of peace.”
