SRINAGAR, May 19: The Jammu and Kashmir Bank on Monday placed two of its senior officials under suspension with immediate effect, pending investigation into alleged acts of omission and commission during their postings in Baramulla district.
An official order states that Sheikh Mohammad Muzaffar, Assistant General Manager, who was serving as Cluster Head Baramulla, and Tanveer Bashir, Chief Manager, posted as Branch Manager T P Baramulla, have been suspended.
The duo has been attached to the Zonal Office in Srinagar and to the Cluster Office Kupwara, respectively.
The suspension orders mention that both officials are restricted from entering any other bank premises or leaving the station without prior permission from the competent authority.
Their specimen signatures have been kept in abeyance with immediate effect. The duo will be entitled to subsistence allowance as per rules during the period of suspension.
