TARZOO, SOPORE, JUNE 24: Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul, paid a visit to the Sheikh Ul Alam Sports Ground in Tarzoo, Sopore, to review the progress of the ongoing works under last year’s Detailed Project Report (DPR).
The visit aimed at assessing the status of sports infrastructure development in the area.
Gul was warmly received by Chairman of the Tarzoo Sports Association, Mohammad Subhan Rather. She was accompanied by local dignitaries including senior citizen Ajaz Ahmad Dar and President of the Youth Forum, Ishfaq Ahmad Dar.
During the visit, President of the Youth Forum, Ishfaq Ahmad Dar raised several key demands aimed at promoting sports and recreational activities for the youth of the area. He urged the Secretary to consider the construction of an indoor sports stadium, development of the existing football ground, and the provision of essential equipment such as a roller and screen for cricket.
The Secretary assured the delegation that the demands would be duly examined and appropriate measures would be taken to boost sports infrastructure in Tarzoo, with a focus on creating inclusive and accessible facilities for youth engagement.
