With a focus on urban development and beautification, Sopore’s Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), Irshad Rasool Kar, inaugurated a macadamization drive on Saturday. The initiative commenced at Girls’ Orphanage and will gradually cover the entire town.
The event was attended by students, residents, and government officials. Addressing the gathering, MLA Kar announced the launch of the City and Town (CNT) Macadamization Program, reiterating that development remains a key priority for his administration. He emphasized that the drive aims to improve road infrastructure across Sopore, starting with Shalimar Colony before expanding to other areas.
Highlighting the importance of systematic planning, the MLA stated that sustainable transformation requires a structured approach. He assured the public that the macadamization process would be carried out efficiently, maintaining momentum toward the overall development of the Sopore constituency—a top priority for his office.
