In the heart of the indoor stadium, under the glow of competition lights, young Humam Rashid, just 13, grips his paddle with sweaty palms. His opponent, Abul Gani, mirrors his intensity. Every serve, every smash, isn’t just a point—it’s a step toward something bigger.
“I’ve been practicing for two years,” Humam says, catching his breath between matches. “When I play, I forget everything else. I just want to make my family proud.” His father, a farmer, watches from the stands, eyes glistening.
This is the magic of Varmul Gindo—where a simple table tennis ball carries the weight of dreams.
In a district where girls in sports still face silent barriers, the Under-14 and Under-17 girls’ categories are rewriting the script. Twelve-year-old Aisha Khan, the youngest in her group, moves like lightning, her tiny frame belying her fierce precision.
