Mega Alumni Meet 2025 to Celebrate Legacy and Lifelong Bonds

SRINAGAR, July 24: In what promises to be an emotional and historic gathering, the University of Kashmir (KU) is all set to host its Mega Alumni Meet-2025, bringing back generations of graduates to their academic home nestled in the heart of Srinagar. Since its establishment in 1948, KU has shaped thousands of lives, and this landmark event is aimed at celebrating that enduring legacy of learning, growth, and connection.
The meet, being billed as a landmark event in the university’s calendar, will go beyond a conventional reunion. It will serve as a platform for reconnecting, reflecting, and rekindling ties among alumni and with the institution itself. With a packed agenda featuring special addresses, felicitation of distinguished alumni, memory-sharing sessions, and opportunities for academic and professional networking, the event aims to establish long-term bridges between the university and its extended family.
“This Mega Alumni Meet is not just a celebration, it’s a tribute to the journey we’ve all shared,” said Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nilofer Khan. “We are reconnecting with the very people who have carried the university’s name with pride into the world. Their return is a moment of great joy and also a step towards shaping KU’s future together.”
Prof. Khan also emphasized that the alumni meet will be instrumental in laying the groundwork for a sustainable and structured alumni network through the Kashmir University Alumni Association (KUAA). This association, she noted, would foster student mentorship, academic collaboration, and industry-academia engagement—ensuring that alumni contributions continue to enrich the university’s ecosystem.
The university has already produced an impressive roster of alumni who have excelled across various domains—be it the judiciary, civil services, media, healthcare, law, academia, entrepreneurship, or the private sector. The meet will celebrate these shining examples, honouring their achievements while encouraging new ideas and collaborations that transcend campus boundaries.
