Directs officers for befitting arrangements; greets general public of Budgam on the auspicious occasion
BUDGAM, AUGUST 30: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat today visited Peth Makhama shrine to take stock of arrangements being put in place for the smooth celebration of holy occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W).
DC said all necessary arrangements are in place. He assured locals that all amenities will be made available round the clock during auspicious days.
He directed Executive Engineer KPDCL to ensure availability of one Gen-set at the shrine to avoid any inconvenience to the devotees.
Moreover, he directed proper electricity supply and functioning of street lights in the area throughout the festival.
He directed the Fire and Emergency department to keep a fire tender available round the clock, outside the premises of the shrine.
DC said a medical ambulance equipped with trained staff and all facilities of first aid will remain stationed at the shrine during the requisite period.
He directed officers of Jal Shakti to provide and maintain adequate water supply.
On sanitation and cleanliness, DC directed concerned BDO to ensure regular lifting of garbage and proper cleanliness inside and around the shrine premises during the ensuing festival.
During the visit, locals appreciated the arrangements put in place by district administration related to the ensuing Eid Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W) and Friday following.
DC was accompanied by SDM Beerwah, Executive Engineers of PHE, R&B, PDD, Tehsildar Magam, officers of Fire and Emergency, municipality and other concerned.
