SRINAGAR, Oct 2: The Kashmir School Federation (KSF) on Thursday announced a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening educational excellence, gender equality, and inclusivity across the Valley.
In a landmark decision, the federation appointed Saima Firdous as its first-ever female president, a move hailed as a significant step towards women’s empowerment in the education sector.
The KSF also introduced 40 percent reservation for female posts, ensuring greater representation of women in the federation’s leadership and decision-making processes.
In a bid to expand its outreach, the federation decided to bring madrasas, Darul Ulooms, and registered coaching centers under its fold to provide improved mentorship and support to students.
To implement its initiatives at the grassroots, the KSF announced the names of District Conveners and District Body members who will oversee the execution of programs across districts.
The new measures, according to the federation, are aimed at creating an inclusive and progressive educational environment in Kashmir.
