Srinagar, October 15: Apni Party on Wednesday expelled its Chief Spokesperson Muntazir Mohiuddin for actions contrary to the party’s interests.
According to press release issued here, Apni Party’s Parliamentary Affairs Committee (PAC) held a crucial meeting to discuss the recent statements issued by the party’s Chief Spokesperson, Muntazir Mohiuddin. The meeting was presided over by the PAC Chairman Mohammad Dilawar Mir. After thorough discussions and deliberations, the committee members unanimously decided to expel Muntazir Mohiuddin from the party’s basic membership with immediate effect.
“During the meeting, the committee took serious note of the recent irrelevant and inappropriate press statements issued by the party’s Chief Spokesperson, Mr. Muntazir Mohiuddin, which were found to be not in the interest of the party. After thorough deliberations, the PAC unanimously decided to expel Mr. Mintazir Mohiuddin from the basic membership of the party with immediate effect. The party reiterated its commitment to maintaining discipline, unity, and collective responsibility among all its members and office bearers,” the statement issued through the party’s Additional General Secretary Hilal Ahmad Shah, reads.
Besides Mohammad Dilawar Mir, the prominent party leaders who were present in the meeting included party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir, Vice President Javaid Mustafa Mir, Additional General Secretary Hilal Ahmad Shah, Chief Coordinator and District President Abdul Majeed Padder, Provincial President Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi, President of the party’s Youth Wing Yawar Mir, District President Budgam Advocate Owais Ashraf, and others.
