LEH, Nov 6: In a significant administrative reshuffle aimed at streamlining police functioning in the Union Territory of Ladakh, the Home Department on Wednesday ordered the transfer and posting of several Indian Police Service (IPS) officers with immediate effect.
As per Order No. 98-Home of 2025 issued by the Home Department, Ms. Shruti Arora, IPS (AGMUT:2018), who was serving as the Superintendent of Police (SP), District Leh, has been transferred and posted at the Police Headquarters (PHQ), UT of Ladakh.
In her place, Shree Raam R, IPS (AGMUT:2019), who was earlier serving as Superintendent of Police, District Kargil, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, District Leh.
Further, Nitin Yadav, IPS (AGMUT:2021), who was holding the position of Additional Superintendent of Police, Kargil, has been promoted and posted as Superintendent of Police, District Kargil, replacing Shree Raam R, IPS.
The order, issued in the interest of administration, has been approved by Dr. Pawan Kotwal, IAS, Chief Secretary and Administrative Secretary, Home Department, UT of Ladakh.
The transfers are seen as part of routine administrative adjustments aimed at ensuring efficient policing and better coordination across the Union Territory.
