SRINAGAR, Nov 10: The Kashmir Advocates Association (KAA) and the Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association, Srinagar, have strongly condemned the twin car bomb blasts that rocked the historic Red Fort area in Delhi on Monday evening, killing at least eight civilians and leaving more than twenty-five others seriously injured.
In a strongly worded statement issued late Monday night, the association described the attack as a “barbaric and dastardly act of terrorism,” expressing deep anguish over the loss of innocent lives. “Targeting civilians is not merely an assault on human life but a direct attack on the soul of India’s unity, secular ethos, and shared heritage,” the statement read.
The association extended its “heartfelt condolences” to the bereaved families and prayed for the “swift and complete recovery” of the injured. The legal fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir expressed complete solidarity with the victims, their families, and the people of Delhi during this moment of grief and outrage.
“As advocates committed to the rule of law, we reaffirm that no ideology of hate can justify violence against innocents,” the KAA spokesperson stated, adding that the lawyers’ community stood united against all forms of terror and pledged to support every national effort aimed at defeating the forces of extremism and hatred.
The association urged both the Central and Delhi Governments to carry out a swift, transparent, and comprehensive investigation into the blasts and ensure that those responsible, including their networks, are brought to justice through exemplary punishment.
Calling for “enhanced security at all public spaces,” the statement also demanded immediate medical and financial assistance for the victims and their families. The association emphasized that preventing such acts of terror required not only strong law enforcement but also collective vigilance and unity among citizens.
Concluding with a patriotic note, the statement reaffirmed the association’s faith in the country’s resilience and legal system, ending with the words: “Jai Hind.”
The blasts near the Red Fort — one of India’s most iconic heritage sites — have sent shockwaves across the nation, prompting high-level security reviews and emergency measures in the capital and other major cities.
