Ganderbal: A District Level mock exercise on flood water rescue and collapsed structure search and rescue scenarios was conducted by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) at Govt Degree College Ganderbal.
The exercise was conducted by the National Disaster Response Force in which aline departments like fire and emergency service, Health department also participated. The demonstration on rescue operations in flood and collapse scenarios, fire mock drill, and soft tissue injury management was impressive.
All students and college faculty participated in the event. NCC cadets and students from the College Disaster Management Club acted as volunteers, gaining hands-on experience in disaster response. The open-area demonstration showcased NDRF’s expertise and preparedness. The exercise highlighted the importance of collaboration and preparedness in disaster management, providing a valuable learning experience.
In her welcome address, the Principal of Govt Degree College Ganderbal emphasized the importance of training and disaster management. Prof. Mansoor Ahmad Lone, NCC ANO and Coordinator, Disaster Management Club, Govt Degree College Ganderbal, coordinated the event and presented the vote of thanks.
