His period in office is credited with elevating the district’s justice delivery system to new standards of efficiency and transparency.
One of his most notable contributions was the remarkable reduction in case pendency. Under his leadership, courts in Bandipora recorded one of the highest disposal rates across the region. His insistence on timely hearings, regular case reviews, and strict adherence to procedural timelines reshaped the district’s judicial workflow.
Beyond judicial performance, Mr Choudhary focused extensively on augmenting court infrastructure. His tenure saw the development of improved courtroom facilities, enhanced public amenities, strengthened digital systems, and several welfare measures for court staff. His emphasis on creating a conducive working environment earned immense goodwill among judicial employees.
The Bandipora Bar Association has expressed deep appreciation for Mr Choudhary’s contributions, describing him as one of the most “approachable, fair, and reform-driven” judicial officers to have served the district. Senior members of the Bar noted that he always maintained an open-door policy, ensuring that lawyers’ concerns were addressed promptly and professionally. They hailed his balanced judgments, his clarity in legal reasoning, and his firm commitment to justice.
Members of the Bar also acknowledged that Mr Choudhary played a pivotal role in strengthening coordination between the Bench and the Bar—an effort that significantly improved court functioning and reduced administrative bottlenecks. Many lawyers praised him for conducting regular interactions with the legal community, encouraging professionalism, and upholding the dignity of the judicial institution.
