Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma on Friday undertook a significant visit to the forward location of Shahsitar in Poonch district, where he carried out a meticulous assessment of the overall operational preparedness and reviewed the prevailing security scenario in the sensitive region along the Line of Control and adjoining hinterland areas.
During the visit, senior field commanders provided the Army Commander with an in-depth briefing on the current counter-terror operations underway in the area, ongoing intelligence-based initiatives, and the multi-layered deployment framework established to prevent infiltration attempts and ensure stability in the region. The briefing also highlighted the adaptive strategies and enhanced surveillance mechanisms put in place to counter emerging threats, including the use of advanced technological systems for real-time monitoring.
