PDUNASS Director Shri Kumar Rohit Inaugurates NLU Phase of Induction Training for DR EO-AO 2025 Batch; Explores Launch of a Joint Certificate Programme with GNLU

Date:

VINOD BHAT
Gandhinagar, Gujarat, Dec 01:
Shri Kumar Rohit, Director, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Academy of Social Security (PDUNASS), participated in the inauguration ceremony of the four-week NLU phase of the six-month Induction Training Programme for the Direct Recruit Enforcement Officers/Accounts Officers (DR EO-AO) of the 2025 Batch. The ceremony was held at Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) in the august presence of Prof. (Dr.) S. Shanthakumar, Director, GNLU; Shri Sudeepta Ghosh, Additional PF Commissioner, Gujarat Zone; and Dr. Nitin Malik, Registrar, GNLU.
Addressing the probationary officers, Shri Rohit encouraged them to view their roles not merely as compliance inspectors but as catalysts of positive change—key contributors to the Government of India’s vision of ease of living and ease of doing business. He highlighted that the four newly notified Labour Codes, which rationalise and consolidate 29 central labour laws, along with the three new criminal laws—Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA)—have ushered in a transformative era in India’s regulatory and enforcement ecosystem.
Shri Rohit emphasized that these legislative reforms represent a paradigm shift in how labour relations, compliance frameworks, and enforcement mechanisms will be administered in the coming decades. The training at GNLU, he noted, offers an invaluable opportunity for the new officers to gain a structured, authoritative, and forward-looking understanding of these landmark reforms.
During his interaction with Prof. (Dr.) Shanthakumar and senior faculty members, Shri Rohit also discussed the proposal for launching a three-month Certificate Programme in Labour Law and Social Security in collaboration with GNLU. This programme—designed for HR managers, compliance professionals, and labour law practitioners—aims to bridge a critical national gap in contemporary labour law education.
The envisioned certificate course will feature an updated curriculum aligned with the four Labour Codes, the new criminal laws, and emerging compliance frameworks. It will also provide hands-on exposure to real-world compliance scenarios, enabling participants to strengthen organisational readiness, enhance legal risk management, and engage more effectively with regulatory bodies. In doing so, the course aims to address a long-standing industry need for practical, experiential, and up-to-date labour law training.
By combining the academic excellence of GNLU with the field-based expertise of EPFO officers and the training infrastructure of PDUNASS, the proposed programme is expected to become one of India’s most sought-after professional certifications in labour law and social security.
With industry expectations evolving rapidly and reforms reshaping the statutory landscape, this initiative is poised to become a transformative offering for HR leaders, compliance heads, and social security administrators across the country.
