Awantipora, DEC 23: CIED–IUST Foundation conducted a Ministry of MSME sponsored Entrepreneurship Awareness Program (EAP) at Satoora, Tral. The primary objective of the program was to create awareness among SC/ST MSME entrepreneurs about various government schemes, funding opportunities and institutional support available for promoting entrepreneurship.
The program was organized under the leadership of Prof. Parvez A. Mir, CEO, CIED–IUST Foundation, with a focus on inspiring the tribal community to explore entrepreneurship as a viable career option. The initiative highlighted the importance of innovation, skill development, access to funding and mentorship support.
Prof. Parvez A. Mir delivered an insightful session on the role and functioning of the CIED–IUST Foundation. He apprised the participants of various entrepreneurship development schemes, funding avenues and support services provided by CIED. He also sensitized the participants about the Mission YUVA Scheme, recently launched by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, aimed at promoting youth entrepreneurship and self-employment.
Mr. Syed Abdul Basit Andrabi, CEO, DST i-TBI CIED-IUST Foundation, addressed the gathering and informed participants about the various short-term skill-oriented courses conducted by CIED. He emphasized the importance of acquiring practical and industry-relevant skills and encouraged participants to enroll in these programs. He also briefed the community about the modern facilities available at CIED, which are accessible to aspiring entrepreneurs for innovation and product development.
