Srinagar, April 15: The Marhama Cricket Association on Tuesday organized a ‘Nasha Mukt’ awareness rally to highlight the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a drug-free society.
The rally saw active participation from local youth, sportspersons, and residents, who marched through the area carrying banners and raising slogans such as “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life.” Participants aimed to spread awareness about the growing threat of substance abuse and encourage people, particularly the younger generation, to stay away from drugs.
Organizers said the initiative was intended to steer youth towards positive activities like sports and fitness, while discouraging involvement in substance abuse. They emphasized the role of community-driven efforts in tackling the issue.
The association reiterated its commitment to not only promoting sports at the grassroots level but also contributing to social causes. The rally concluded with a call for sustained awareness campaigns and collective action to curb drug addiction in society.
