Ganderbal, Apr 23: District Administration Ganderbal Conducts Civil Defence Air Raid Mock Drill at Degree College GanderbalA Civil Defence Air Raid Mock Drill was conducted by the District Administration Ganderbal on 23 April 2026 at the campus of Govt. Degree College Ganderbal. The initiative aimed to educate students and staff on civil defence measures and emergency response procedures during disasters.
On this occasion, representatives from J&K Police, SDRF, and the Medical Department were present. The experts highlighted the Do’s and Don’ts to be followed in such emergency situations.
The program was organized under the patronage of the Worthy District Development Commissioner and the Principal, GDC Ganderbal, and was coordinated by Prof. Mansoor Ahmad Lone, Coordinator, Disaster Management Club and ANO, NCC, along with Dr. Salma, NCC Unit Girls Wing, and the Sports Department.
NCC cadets played a key role in the mock drill, demonstrating rescue of the injured using proper techniques followed during disasters.
A large number of participants, including faculty members, staff, and students, gained valuable knowledge on fire prevention, evacuation procedures, and emergency response protocols.
The college administration expressed gratitude to the experts/trainers for their valuable contribution to the program.
