Bandipora, July 18: In a major action against the terror ecosystem, Jammu and Kashmir Police have attached immovable properties belonging to five peoples over terror links in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
According to the details, the attached properties are located in Chittaybanday and Gundpora villages and include multiple parcels of agricultural land recorded under different survey (Khasra) numbers. The land belongs to Mir Hassan, Khursheed Ahmad Sheikh, Farooq Ahmad Bani, Muzaffar Ahmad Lone and Ghulam Ahmad Lone.
The attached properties include land measuring around 19.5 marlas, 3.5 marlas, 16 marlas, more than one kanal in separate parcels and other smaller plots spread across various survey numbers.
Police said the attachment was carried out as part of sustained efforts to dismantle the terror support network and prevent the use of such properties for unlawful activities. The action has been taken under relevant provisions of law after following the prescribed legal process.
The move is part of the ongoing crackdown by Jammu and Kashmir Police against terrorism and its support infrastructure. In recent months, police have attached several properties linked to alleged militants and terror handlers across the Union Territory as part of measures aimed at disrupting terror financing and logistical support.
Officials said such actions are intended to deter individuals involved in militancy and send a strong message against those supporting terrorist activities.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
