New Delhi: The Petroleum Planning & Analysis Cell (PPAC), an attached office of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG), successfully observed Swachhta Pakhwada 2026 from 1–15 July 2026 through a series of innovative and impactful activities aligned with the objectives of the Swachh Bharat Mission and Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment).
The fortnight-long campaign was led by Shri P. Manoj Kumar, Director General, PPAC, and focused on promoting cleanliness, hygiene, environmental sustainability, and behavioural change among employees, stakeholders, and the public. The campaign commenced with the administration of the Swachhta Pledge and featured a series of outreach and awareness activities, including mass pledge drives at public places, cleanliness drives, Cyclothon, plantation drives under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, awareness sessions, Nukkad Natak, health check-up camp, visits to NGO Thanal and nearby public facilities, Extensive distribution of jute/paper bags and hygiene kits, waste-to-art initiatives, and interactive competitions.
These initiatives encouraged public participation, promoted sustainable lifestyles, and reinforced the message of environmental conservation and responsible waste management. The campaign concluded with a valedictory ceremony recognising outstanding contributions by employees, support staff, and partner organisations, reaffirming PPAC’s continued commitment to fostering a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future. Shri P. Manoj Kumar, Director General, administered pledge at PPAC Walkathon in Lodhi Road by Team PPAC. A Cyclothon was organised to spread awareness about cleanliness, environmental sustainability, and the importance of adopting eco-friendly practices among the public. PPAC officers visited local food vendors and administered the Swachhta Pledge, encouraging them to adopt clean and sustainable practices. Hygiene kits and eco-friendly paper bags were distributed to promote hygiene and discourage the use of single-use plastic bags, reinforcing the message of environmentally responsible living.
PPAC officers visited nearby petrol pumps to assess cleanliness standards and other essential hygiene parameters, while interacting with the staff to encourage the maintenance of clean, safe, and customer-friendly premises. The team conducted activities like administering pledge, awareness session on E-20 and distribution of Hygiene kits to Staff.
Free Health Check-up camp for support staff and their families in collaboration of Max Hospital carried on in length with 9 tests and 4 Doctor consultations. Distribution of Jute bags and Hygiene kits to Nukkad Natak performers Distribution of Hygiene & Stationery kits and Snacks to NGO Thanal Students Digital/ Paperless Quiz Competition on Swachhta and Energy Sector at PPAC Creative ‘Waste to Art’ installations, including a Selfie Booth, Wish Tree, and Time Capsule, were developed using recycled materials to inspire environmental consciousness and encourage a collective commitment towards a cleaner and more sustainable future. Under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, PPAC organised plantation drives and distributed indoor and outdoor plants to promote environmental conservation, enhance green cover, and encourage sustainable practices among employees and the community.
PPAC organised mass Swachhta Pledge and distribution drives at public places and in and around the office locality, administering the Swachhta Pledge to members of the public and support staff. Hygiene kits were distributed to promote cleanliness, personal hygiene, and community participation, reinforcing the objectives of Swachhta Pakhwada 2026.
The valedictory ceremony featured the presentation of the Cleanest Division Rolling Trophy to the Administration Division by the Director General, PPAC, in recognition of its exemplary commitment to workplace cleanliness. Outstanding support staff were also felicitated for their dedicated service, and Mr. Naman Gupta was honoured for his valuable collaboration with PPAC in promoting sustainable living and environmental awareness.
