Two-Day Religious Congregation Draws Devotees from Across Kashmir

GANDERBAL, AUGUST 22: The two-day Annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Mir Syed Baba Hyder (RA) commenced at the revered shrine in Tullamulla, central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, with devotees from different parts of the Kashmir Valley participating in the religious observances.
The Urs, being observed on August 21 and 22, witnessed the arrival of a large number of devotees who offered prayers and supplications at the shrine and prayed for peace, prosperity and the well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
A night-long Shabkhani was also scheduled as part of the religious programme, featuring prayers, Duas, Zikr and religious discourses.
Prominent scholars were expected to address the gathering and speak on spiritual and religious teachings.
The shrine witnessed a spiritually charged atmosphere as devotees continued to visit throughout the day to pay obeisance and seek blessings.
The Waqf Board, Police and civil administration made arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Urs, including measures aimed at ensuring the safety and convenience of devotees.
Devotees and local residents appreciated the arrangements made by the concerned departments for the annual religious gathering.
The Urs is expected to conclude with the participation of devotees from Ganderbal and other parts of the Kashmir Valley.
