New Delhi: Tata Electronics, a pioneering leader in India’s electronics and semiconductor manufacturing sector, and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), a pioneering Central University established exclusively to advance the domain of Transportation, Infrastructure and Logistics education, research and skilling in India, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on skilling and talent development for the semiconductor industry. The partnership supports India’s goal of becoming a globally competitive hub for semiconductor manufacturing, by strengthening India’s talent pipeline for advanced semiconductor manufacturing infrastructure.
The alliance is aimed at developing industry-ready talent, supporting academic innovation and strengthening capabilities in areas critical to India’s growing industrial and technology ecosystem. Through this collaboration, the two organizations shall evolve multi-party partnership frameworks including Tata Electronics partners L&T EduTech and Jacobs Solutions, and will work together to create opportunities for students and professionals for the development of specialized skills required for semiconductor manufacturing and associated infrastructure projects, such as Semiconductor Facility Engineering and Infrastructure Systems, Project Management, Logistics & Supply Chain. Tata Electronics, L&T EduTech and Jacobs Solutions will provide the necessary subject matter expertise to Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya.
The areas of collaboration will include academic curriculum development, joint certification programs, and industry-oriented skilling initiatives, focused on areas such as semiconductor facility engineering and infrastructure systems, project management, and logistics and supply chain. The programs will equip students with the knowledge and practical skills required for careers supporting Fab construction and operations.

Tata Electronics is building capabilities across the semiconductor value chain to serve global customers.
