Srinagar, September 22, 2026: Mohd. Raja Khan, Programme Executive, Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar, has been appointed as the Head of Programme (HoP), Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar, with immediate effect. The appointment follows an official order issued by the Prasar Bharati Secretariat today.
In his new capacity, he will oversee and coordinate the overall functioning of the Programme Wing, including programme planning, production, scheduling and execution, in accordance with the mandate, policies and guidelines of Prasar Bharati.
The new arrangement is aimed at further strengthening coordination within the Programme Wing and ensuring the smooth, effective and timely execution of programme activities at the Kendra.
Son of former director Doordarshan Naseem Khan, Raja Khan has an extensive experience in broadcasting and programme production. He brings with him a rich understanding of the public service broadcasting ecosystem. His experience and professional perspective are expected to contribute towards further strengthening the programme content and enhancing the outreach and engagement of Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar.
The Kendra looks forward to his leadership in fostering innovation, creativity and a renewed approach to programme development, while upholding the public service broadcasting mandate of Doordarshan.
