SRINAGAR, Sep 26: The Regional Passport Office (RPO) Srinagar has issued more than 100 official passports in a single day to government personnel selected for deputation to Saudi Arabia for Haj 2027 duties, in a special facilitation exercise aimed at ensuring that passport formalities are completed well ahead of their overseas deployment.
The officials covered under the exercise include doctors, paramedical personnel, police officials, personnel from paramilitary forces and other government employees who have been selected for various assignments connected with the management and facilitation of the Haj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
The issuance of more than 100 official passports within a single day marks a significant administrative effort by the RPO Srinagar to process the travel documentation of a large contingent of government personnel within a limited timeframe. The exercise is particularly important as the officials deputed for Haj-related duties are required to complete several formalities before proceeding to Saudi Arabia for their respective assignments.
