Jammu: In view of the extra rush of passengers during the festive season in Jammu Division, Northern Railway has decided to operate Special Train No. 04081/04082 between New Delhi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra for the convenience of passengers. _Earlier, it was decided to operate this train between 08th October to 26th October, and now in view of the additional rush of Dussehra / Navratri, it is also being operated as additional trips between 02nd October to 05th October._
It is worth mentioning that Train No. 04081 New Delhi – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Reserved Festival Special Express will depart from New Delhi at 23:45 hrs on 02nd, 03rd and 04th October 2026 and will arrive at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 12:00 hrs the next day, via Panipat, Kurukshetra, Ambala Cantt., Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt., Pathankot Cantt., Jammu Tawi and Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan.
In the return direction, Train No. 04082 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – New Delhi will depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 21:00 hrs on 03rd, 04th and 05th October 2026 and will arrive at New Delhi at 10:00 hrs the next morning.
In continuation of this, keeping in view the convenience of passengers, Northern Railway has also decided to temporarily augment one extra 3rd AC coach in Train No. 12426 Jammu Tawi – New Delhi Rajdhani Express. _This extra coach will be attached to the train departing from Jammu Tawi on 04th, 05th, 10th, 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th October as well as from 18th October to 26th November 2026._
