CFL Bankoot and RESPONSENET organise awareness programme on savings, digital banking and welfare schemes
Bandipora, October 17: A financial literacy awareness programme for persons with disabilities was organised by CFL Bankoot in collaboration with RESPONSENET at the Old Hospital in Bandipora on Saturday, with the aim of promoting financial awareness, inclusion and independence among participants.
During the programme, participants were sensitised about the importance of savings, banking services, digital banking, financial security, government welfare schemes and social security benefits.
Special emphasis was laid on ensuring that persons with disabilities are aware of their financial rights and can access banking facilities and government benefits without facing unnecessary difficulties.
The programme also provided an interactive platform for participants to learn about available financial services, clarify their queries and understand how to make informed financial decisions.
The organisers highlighted the importance of financial awareness in empowering persons with disabilities, stressing that access to reliable financial information and banking facilities can help them manage their finances independently and avail themselves of eligible government benefits.
The initiative aimed to encourage greater participation of persons with disabilities in the formal banking system and promote equal access to financial education and services.
