Srinagar: National conference South Kashmir Zone president and former MLC Dr. Veeri wished the Sikh community in Kashmir and across India on the eve of Baisakhi that will be observed on Sunday.
Dr. Veeri while wishing people on Baisakhi said that such festivals come with the message of love, humanity and brotherhood.
“Baisakhi which is also a festival of harvest marks new year for our Sikh brothers, I hope this new year brings new joy and prosperity to the valley and to the whole globe,” Dr. veeri said.
” Our Kashmiri Sikh brothers have always stood with Muslim community in thick and thin, I wish this brotherhood getts stronger with each passing day,” he said.
Meanwhile veeri aslo called for lifting highway ban to allow Sikh community to travel ahead Baisakhi that falls on Sunday.
Dr. Veeri said that thousands of Kashmiris from Sikh community will be traveling across various districts on the eve of Sikh festival Baisakhi and highway ban will create a huge problem for them.
“We demand immediate revocation of order so that our Sikh brothers will be able to celebrate Baisakhi without and restrictions,” Dr veeri said.
