Bandipora,07 May. An absconder wanted by Police was arrested after evading arrest from last 23 years ,after strenuous efforts of Bandipora Police.
Acting on a tip-off about the presence of the accused person at the specified location on the directions of SSP Bandipora,Sh Rahul Malik-IPS .
A Police party of PS- Sumbal led by SHO-PS Sumbal under the supervision of SDPO- Sumbal arrested the person namely Wali Mohammad Mir S/o Mohammad Maqsood Mir R/o Saderkoot Bala Bandipora.He was involved in case FIR no. 125/1996 u/s 302, 307, 325, 341 RPC 7/27 arms Act of P/S Sumbal.
The accused Wali Mohammad Mir was evading his arrest from last 23 years, the accused was arrested from village Barwala Kangan.
The accused is involved in the murder of seven persons (05 men &02 women) and injuring to other 05 persons of village Saderkoot Bala, brutelly murdered by the accused in their houses.Several warrants were issued by the hon’ble court District & Sessions Judge Bandipora, but the accused hided him self at some unknown location till now.
