Massive clashes rocks in Hajjin town

Sopore, May 24 : A 25 year old youth was injured in clashes which erupted in old town area of Sopore near Jamia Masjid after Friday prayers against the killing of militant commander Zakir Musa, who was killed in a gunfight with government forces in Tral village on Thursday night.
Reports reaching said scores of youth post Friday congregational prayers hit the streets to protest against the killing of militant commander, however the deployed forces in the area tried to chase away the protesting youth, triggering clashes in the area.
During the clashes, a 25 year old was injured when he tried to throw tear shell back towards forces but the shell got burst in his hand leaving him injured.
However he was rushed to sub district hospital Sopore, where doctors reffered him SMHS Srinagar for advance treatment.
Meanwhile Block Medical officer Sopore Dr Mohammed Sami also confirmed this incident to Kashmir Despatch and said injured youth has been reffered to Srinagar hospital for advance treatment. Officer identified Injured youth as Irfan Ahmed (25) son of Tariq Ahmed residen of Sadiq colony Sopore.
Pertainally, youths post Friday prayers staged massive protest against the killing of Ansar Gazwatul Hind (AGH) chief Zakir Musa in Hajjin town of North Kashmir.
Reports said youths amid pro -Pakistani and Pro Azadi and Zakir Musa slogans hit the roads and chased with forces who in turn lobbed tear gas shells to disprese them.
The clashes between forces and youths in the area was on when filed this report.
