Poonch, June 17 : Police on Monday recovered a body of a 23-year-old youth under mysterious conditions in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources told that some locals spotted the body lying near the middle school at City Ward No: 7 Poonch and immediately informed the concerned police station about it.
A police team reached the site and recovered the body, they said.
A police officer while confirming the incident and identified the deceased as Mohd Raiz (23) son of Mohd Bashir of Bheria Loran area.
The body was later handed over to his family for last rites after conducting all legal Medico formalities including the post-mortem at the district Hospital.
“A case under 174 CrPc was registered and further investigations initiated to ascertain the cause of death,” the official added. (GNS)
