Srinagar, June 18 : A 24- year old youth was killed while as another suffered injuries in a road mishap in Ganderbal district of central Kashmir on Tuesday evening.
Reports said that a speeding tipper (JK03-7541) hit a motorcycle (JK01A-5371) at Naiteng area of Lar resulting in on the spot death of pillon rider namely Uzair Ahmad Lone (24) son of Showkat Ahmad Lone of Duderhama Ganderbal and injuring another one.
A police officer also confirmed the incident. He identified the injured as Usaid Ahmad Bhat son of Mohd Yousuf Bhat of Duderhama Ganderbal was immediately shifted to nearby hospital where from he was referred to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment.
He said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigations taken. (GNS)
