Snowfall in Kashmir : College students missed exam stages protest in Sopore

Sopore : Scores of college students on Friday staged a protest against college authorities in north Kashmir’s Sopore for not allowing them in exam centers after they reached late due to heavy snowfall in Kashmir valley.


Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said scores of students on Friday missed their Ist semester Sericulture paper after they reached late due to heavy snowfall in Kashmir.


Reports said that students once college authorities didn’t allow them inside exam hall staged a protest and demanded another opportunity once the weather improves.


Meanwhile incharge principal at Degree college Sopore Mushtaq Ahmed told Kashmir Despatch we can’t do anything in this regard , he however suggested students to write an application to Kashmir University authorities so that they will get a chance to for this missed paper.

Pertainally, the extreme weather conditions prevailing over the state has led to the cancellation of all flights in the Srinagar Airport on consecutive 8th straight day on Friday, while authorities also suspended traffic movement on Jammu-Srinagar national highway.
