Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested a militant associate in south Kashmir’s Tral town.
A police spokesman in a statement said that he has been identified as Rasiq Maqbool Sheikh resident of Pastoona Tral.
“Incriminating materials have been recovered from his possession. All the recovered incriminating material has been taken into records for the purpose of investigation and to probe his complicity in other crimes,” he said.
“As per the police records, he is involved in providing logistic support to the active JeM militants operating in Tral area,” he added.
“Case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Tral in the instant matter. Further investigation is in progress,” said the spokesman.
