Srinagar Apr 03: The Jammu & Kashmir Innovative Foundation for Transforming Society in collaboration with Oncofacts have launched a Cancer Awareness Campaign for cancer patients.
Talking to Kashmir Despatch JKIFTS Chairman Dr. Tasaduk Hussain Itoo said: “Under this campaign, an oncologist can join us and share information about any oncology topic with regard to patient care and management, besides patients can send us their queries/issues for their redressal”.
An Oncofacts is basically a YouTube channel run by two doctors from Jammu and Kashmir, a Jammu – based Radiation Oncologist Dr. Vikas Roshan and Kashmir – based General Physician Dr. Tasaduk Hussain Itoo, both currently working in Jammu. “The main aim of the channel is to create awareness and teach people regarding various aspects of cancer”, said Dr. Vikas Roshan while talking to this newspaper Correspondent.
Meanwhile, the Director JKIFTS further told Kashmir Despatch that “We would be going holistically in a series of sessions and cover each and every type of cancer of various organs in the body and we have done three of its sessions so far”, he said
